This coffee comes to us from a partnership aimed at bringing new life to an area where coffee formerly thrived. Dwindling production, corruption and the poverty that followed painted a bleak picture for the farmers bringing their cherry to the Thiriku Cooperative. This new partnership with Trabocca brings increased transparency, renewed focus on quality and double or more the pay going to farmers. In addition to financial backing, an agronomist has been made available to the farmers to help implement certain farming guidelines with hopes that production will at least double in three years and cupping scores will continue to go up.
