We’ve had a great run of coffees from central Africa lately and it’s great that we get to keep that up with Horizon. Brown sugar sweetness with stone fruit, citrus, and pears guarantee that this is a cup we’ll be asking for often.
Horizon Supreme is a washing station owned by Leo Fidele Ndagijimana in southern Rwanda. After he purchased the station from the previous owner who had failed to operate it for many years, Ndagijimana replaced and repaired the mill’s machinery and used his experience managing mills in the past to push Rwanda’s coffee further. He named the wet mill Horizon to guide his vision for the processing quality. Horizon receives coffee from small farmers in the area which are separated based on weeks they arrive. In the future, they’re looking to scale up the systems that they have put in place.
