Njowa marks our first time working with Long Miles, a company based in Burundi that places strong emphasis on traceability and sustainability in the Central African countries’ industry. In our cups we get lime, blood orange, date, raisin, and maple. We hope you all enjoy this coffee as much as we do.
Working with Long Miles Coffee is exciting, and getting Njowa is a unique chance to showcase a side of Kenyan coffees we don’t often see. Unlike most processing stations, Njowa has kept lots separate from one another, meaning you could buy from Karinga, Nyamindi (this coffee), or Kamweti. This is unusual for Kenya, as these would normally be bulked together and simply sold as the station name.
