Reinel Borbon, a second generation coffee grower, manages Fince El Espejo, located in Santa Maria, Huila, Colombia. The farm consists of 4 hectares of land and sits at an elevation of 1850 MASL with around 13,000 coffee trees in production of the Pink Bourbon, Caturra, and Colombia varieties. Originally, Borbon was harvesting lentils and grains, but he saw an opportunity with coffee. Reinel Borbon has now perfected his Yeast Inoculated lot and has started teaching his eldest son the secret recipe. For this Caturra/Colombia lot, the wet parchment is placed in open barrels to ferment alongside Reinel's yeast substrate for up to 80 hours before being washed and placed to dry on raised beds for 14-18 days.

Our coffee bags are now recyclable - just return your used bag to any of our cafés and we'll take care of the rest.
