Hamasho

Regular price

This is our first year offering a coffee from the Hamasho Station, located in Hamasho Village in Sidama, Ethiopia. Managed by Asefa Dukamo Korma, Hamasho translates to 'serpent' in English and works with over 600 farmers who contribute their cherries. In the cup, look for watermelon, nectarine, and florals.

Importing Partner: The Coffee Quest

This coffee is washed but undergoes dry fermentation, meaning cherries are depulped and immediately sealed in tanks for three days to ferment; all without using water. The parchment is then washed and laid to dry for 10 to 17 days. Hamasho really benefits from its microclimate conditions, specifically the cycles of rainy and sunny days and the warm days and cool nights due to high elevation.

Our coffee bags are now recyclable - just return your used bag to any of our cafés and we'll take care of the rest.
