The Kapyoma washing station is situated on Mount Elgon, next door to Sipi Falls at a lofty 2070 meters above sea level. The name Kapyoma means "meeting place" in the Kupsabiny language of the Sebei people native to the area. When Benjamin Jenkin set out to establish Cahoots Coffee, he wanted to focus on elevating Ugandan coffees and the farmers behind them. Cahoots first harvest in 2024 went extremely well but wasn't without challenges. From surging markets and financial hurdles to limited drying space and unpredictable weather conditions, Benjamin and his team had to juggle demands on time, finances, and a relentless focus on quality. The results of these combined efforts have resulted in remarkably well-processed, well-dried coffee that is exceptionally clean and delicious. We're so happy to have the opportunity to showcase the work of these Ugandan producers and Cahoots Coffee, brought to us by our importing partners at Osito Coffee.

Our coffee bags are now recyclable - just return your used bag to any of our cafés and we'll take care of the rest.
