In the highlands of Yunnan, groves of old tree and heirloom varietals grow abundantly. This tea is an example of the daliensis plant--a landrace cousin of tea touting a concentration of anthocyanin--a flavonoid that gives red, purple, and blue fruits their color and distinctive taste . Hand plucked leaves are bundled in cloth for oxidation, shaped and fired by hand, then dried to enhance aroma. Expect berry, plum, and citrus.
