Yaqueline Hernandez is a visionary. This pleasing and complex cup showcases tasting notes of blackberry, dried mango, and brown sugar.

Origin: Huila, Colombia
Processing: Washed Double Fermentation
Varietal: Caturra, Colombia, Común

Elevation: 1750 MASL
Tasting Notes: Blackberry, Dried Mango, Brown Sugar

We first met Yaqueline in the coffee lab that she started with her two sisters in La Plata. In the main room was a small sample roaster, a tiny dry mill, scales, other coffee evaluation equipment and a large cupping table. In a back room there were several bags of coffee in parchment and a table of coffee that the family was sorting through at every opportunity. The cupping table that day was full of coffees from multiple other producers from the area. Yaqueline works with them on techniques and growing practices and helps sell their coffee to the specialty market. Back on Finca Los Pinos, we witnessed her washed-double fermentation processing method and careful drying methods. We are so grateful for the opportunity to work with Yaqueline and present her beautiful coffee.

Our coffee bags are now recyclable - just return your used bag to any of our cafés and we'll take care of the rest.
