Decaf de Caña

Regular price

Decaf is not something that we shy away from or consider "less than." We're proud to feature some incredible origins and processes in our Decaf lineup. This E.A. (Sugarcane) process from Huila, Colombia hits our markers for a really nice Decaf and the proof is in the cup. We taste a balanced coffee with notes of berry, brown sugar, and citrus.

Region: Huila, Colombia
Processing: Sugarcane
Varietal: Castillo, Caturra, Colombia

Elevation: 1400-2000 MASL
Tasting Notes: Berry, Brown Sugar, Citrus

Sugarcane process decaf uses ethyl acetate (a naturally occurring compound found in fruits, sugarcane, and fermented sugars) and water to act as a solvent to bond with and remove caffeine from green coffee. With skillful processing and roasting, the effects of this process on taste and body are minimal, resulting in an excellent cup that is often indistinguishable from caffeinated coffee.

Our coffee bags are now recyclable - just return your used bag to any of our cafés and we'll take care of the rest.
