Grown on the loamy slopes of Dehong, the western extremity of Yunnan Province, this Snow Phoenix is produced solely from the handpicked, unopened buds of the tea plant’s new flush growth. Similar to its cousin, Silver Needles, the careful harvesting of only the newest sprouts creates a tea that is soft, aromatic, and packed with nutrients. In the words of Lohas, the production team behind this tea, they are “dyed-in-the-wool traditionalists” with an eye for “quality rather than quantity.”
